Practical Training in Bean Production and Linking Farmers with Plant Defenders
Empowering Farmers Through Knowledge and Collaboration
DSDD recently conducted a practical training session on bean production aimed at enhancing farmers’ skills and improving crop productivity. The training focused on best agronomic practices, including land preparation, proper planting techniques, crop management, pest and disease control, and sustainable farming methods.
As part of the initiative, farmers were also connected with Plant Defenders to strengthen their capacity in identifying, preventing, and managing crop pests and diseases. This collaboration provides farmers with access to technical support and timely advice, helping them protect their bean crops and increase yields.
The training created an interactive learning environment where participants shared experiences, discussed challenges, and explored practical solutions for improving bean production. Through strengthened partnerships and access to agricultural expertise, farmers are better equipped to enhance food security and improve their livelihoods.
DSDD remains committed to supporting smallholder farmers through capacity building, knowledge sharing, and the promotion of sustainable agricultural practices.
