Training on Record Keeping and Harvesting Turmeric at Mamba Miamna

DSDD recently conducted a training session on record keeping and proper harvesting techniques for turmeric at Mamba Miamna. The training aimed to equip farmers with essential skills to improve farm management, enhance productivity, and maintain quality standards for better market access.

Participants were guided on the importance of accurate record keeping, including tracking production costs, yields, and sales. This practice enables farmers to make informed decisions, monitor progress, and increase profitability in their agricultural activities.

In addition, the training focused on best practices for harvesting turmeric to ensure high quality produce. Farmers learned appropriate harvesting time, handling methods, and post-harvest care to reduce losses and maintain the value of their crops.

This initiative reflects DSDD’s continued commitment to empowering small-scale farmers with knowledge and skills that promote sustainable agriculture and improved livelihoods in the community.
