Training on Post-Harvest Handling Techniques and Value Addition at Kileo Ward, Same
A training session on post-harvest handling techniques and value addition was successfully conducted at Kileo Ward in Same District. The training aimed to equip small-scale farmers with practical knowledge and skills to reduce post-harvest losses and enhance the quality and market value of their agricultural produce.
Participants were trained on proper harvesting methods, sorting, grading, storage, and preservation techniques to maintain product quality. In addition, the session covered value addition practices such as processing, packaging, and improving product presentation to meet market standards and increase income opportunities.
The training also provided a platform for farmers to share experiences and challenges, while exploring innovative approaches to improve efficiency along the value chain.
