Training for Implementers and Small-Scale Farmers on Organic Agriculture in Dar es Salaam

The Tanzania Organic Agriculture Movement (TOAM) conducted a training session for implementers and small-scale farmers in Dar es Salaam. The training aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge and skills in organic agriculture, with a focus on sustainable farming practices, certification processes, and improving market access for organic produce.

Participants were actively engaged through interactive discussions, group work, and practical demonstrations, allowing them to share experiences and learn from one another. Key topics covered included organic farming principles, Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS), soil fertility management, and value chain development.

The training provided an important platform for capacity building, empowering farmers and implementers to adopt environmentally friendly agricultural practices while enhancing productivity and livelihoods.
