Asante Value Chain Training and Indigenous Maize Seed Provision
DSDD conducted a value chain training for members of the Proper Group under the Asante Project. The training aimed to strengthen farmers’ knowledge on improving agricultural production, marketing, and sustainable farming practices.
During the session, participants learned about the importance of value chain development in increasing productivity, improving product quality, and accessing better markets for their produce. Farmers were also encouraged to work collaboratively to enhance their economic opportunities.
As part of the activity, indigenous maize seeds were provided to the group members to support agricultural production and promote the use of locally adapted seed varieties. These seeds are expected to improve resilience and contribute to sustainable farming practices within the community.
DSDD continues to support local farmer groups through capacity building and provision of agricultural inputs to enhance food security and livelihoods in the community.
