🕊️ In Loving Memory of His Eminence Polycarp Cardinal Pengo

The Diocese of Same Development Department (DSDD) joins the Catholic Church in Tanzania and around the world in mourning the passing of His Eminence, Polycarp Pengo.

Cardinal Pengo served the Church with dedication, humility, and unwavering faith. As a shepherd of God’s people, he devoted his life to spiritual leadership, social justice, and the promotion of human dignity. His commitment to pastoral care and community development greatly contributed to the growth and strength of the Catholic Church in Tanzania.

Throughout his ministry, Cardinal Pengo was known for his wisdom, compassion, and strong advocacy for peace, unity, and moral values in society. His legacy will continue to inspire generations of clergy, religious, and lay faithful.
